Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”) allows online registration for Mutual Funds

Market regulator, SEBI, on Thursday, launched an online registration mechanism for mutual funds to improve ease of doing business. SEBI, vide its circular dated June 1, 2017, has decided to operationalize the SEBI Intermediary Portal (“the Portal”) from June 1, 2017 for the entities to submit the mutual funds registration applications online. Applicants can log in to (https://siportal.sebi.gov.in) for online registration.
